Don’t believe it when they tell you where they are calling from, anyone can do that.
Don’t believe the caller id or number they are calling from- it’s become so easy to change that to scam someone.
Don’t ever give them your bank account, credit card info.
Don’t buy gift cards and give them the codes – this is a one way transaction – no way to get money back!
If you are caught in the middle of a scam, shut down your computer immediately and notify your financial institutions, appropriate law enforcement and have a trusted & certified computer tech disinfect your computer and secure it.
